First Step

I feel like my brain is gonna explode.
Nothing is ever easy and if it is.
Somethin' bad bout to happen.
I can feel the storm over head.
I see the clouds.
Lightening clashing all around.
The hail begins.
The hurricane hits.
Close my eyes and begin to cry.
Crouch to the ground.
Screaming for help.
All goes quiet until the tornado touches the ground.
Running for cover there's no where to go.
Holding onto a metal pole.
It's pulling me in,
I scream and cry.
Fighting with all my might.
I fall to the ground and look around.
All is calm but there's chaos all around.
I stand up,
Brush myself off,
And wipe the tears from my eyes.
I take my first step.
The first step of the rest of my life.
