Bullets Rang Out

As I stand here and look around it's crazy how things went down.
One minute your there the next your not.
Bullets rang out, sirens in the background.
Everyone scattering blood all around.
All I see is your body lying free.
You don't move nor do you breath.
I can't believe this is happening to me.
You never know how fast your life will change.

Late night runnin the streets thinkin we're invincible.
Tonight shots rang out proving a bullet can take us out.
Your life was taken and my heart lost.
The one I always thought I'd love was taken by an enemy we never saw coming.

I watch with tears in my eyes as your mother screamed out your name asking Why?!
I could feel her pain as my heart shattered with the lose of you.
The day we laid you in the ground was so surreal.
Like I was never there.
I watched as they lowered you into the ground.
Tears filled my eyes and ran down my face.
All I could think was there goes my love.
The love I lost when the bullets rang out.
I never sleep.
Always filled with nightmares from that night.
Thinkin there gonna come for me to.
Cuz I saw where the bullets came.
I know who took you out and now my life is on the line.
Do I tell or hide?
To lay next to you in that ground or be up here still free?
But never really free for I will always be lookin behind my back.
Waitin for that bullet with my name sketched on it.

Late night bullets rang out.
Here I lye bleeding out.
Thinking did you feel this to?
All goes black and I'm gone...
Just like you.

Bullets rang out and took another life again in the middle of the night.

Just a Wish

Sitting on the edge of life.
Looking up into the night sky.
Talking to the man in the moon;
Telling him about my life.
He seems to listen so attentively but never speaking back.
Looking for a lil direction maybe a lil advice.
I close my eyes and listen to the night.
When I open them again a shooting star flies by.
I close my eyes tight and wish with all my might.
Dream a lil dream; waiting for the day the man in the moon makes my wish come true.
